Hunting exhibition
The hunting exhibition features trophies of game species taken on five continents. Most of the animals can be seen by walking through their "natural habitat".
The experience is rounded off by a collection of ethnographic and fine art related to the theme.
The trophy collection of the Festetics family disappeared from the castle during and after the Second World War and unfortunately cannot be displayed. However, without recollections of the aristocratic hunts, the visitor cannot get a full picture of their way of life. The permanent hunting exhibition, opened in 2008, fills this gap with trophies that are a worthy memorial to their collectors, providing experience and knowledge for hunters and visitors alike.
