Nagymező - Festetics lookout

One of the most popular places to visit in Gyenesdiás is the Nagymező. Situated approximately 2.5 km from Lake Balaton, it is the starting point and destination of several tourist routes.

The highest point of the area is the Festetics Lookout at an altitude of 235 metres, which is one of the most famous lookouts in the Keszthely Hills. The Nagymező is the venue for small and large events, the most important of which is the bud-blossoming oak festival at the end of April, but it is also the venue for numerous school, company, friendly and family events. In the forest clearing you will find fireplaces, benches, tables, a sports field and a playground.
