Our Lady of Hungary's Parish Church

Keszthely

The Church, built around 1390 in Gothic style, is the oldest building in Keszthely. The medieval church also contains Hungary's largest Gothic frescoes, discovered in 1974. The church consists of three parts, the neo-Gothic 19th century tower and narthex, the nave and the sanctuary with three sides of an octagon. In front of the church is the equestrian statue of the Grand Elector István Lackfi, erected in the year of the millennium.
