Rezi Castle

Rezi

North of the village of Rezi, the fortress of Rezi was built on the dolomite cliffs of the steeply sloping Meleghegy mountain, which is 418-427 metres high according to various sources. Most of the structure has now been destroyed, but one of the residential towers, the western and eastern walls of the castle with a few windows and traces of a dome arch still stand. South of the castle ruins, in the place of the so-called castle garden, is the former outpost, now a cosy forest rest area with benches, tables and bacon-grilling areas.
